Desktop Method 1. Open the webpage you would like to create a shortcut to in your browser. You can practice with your Starting Point:

2. If your browser window is maximized (the window is taking up your entire screen) press the maximize/minimize button to shrink the browser window

3. Make sure your desktop is visible behind your browser window

4. Left click and hold the small icon located before the URL in the browser's address bar. Drag the icon to your desktop

5. Close your browser window. On your desktop there should be a new icon that resembles your browser icon for the webpage you just created the shortcut for. Click on the icon to open the webpage

Browser Method 1. Open the webpage you would like to create a shortcut to in your browser. You can practice with your Starting Point:

2. Select the "star arrow" icon at the top of the browser window

3. Close the browser window. Re-open Internet Explorer. You should now see a new icon at the top for your webpage

NOTE: If you do not see the "star arrow" icon in your browser window, from the menu bar at the top select Tools -> Toolbars -> Favorites bar. Make sure a checkmark appears next to Favorites bar. You should now see the "star arrow" icon at the top of your window.
