Getting Started with LAUSD Electronic Rollbook

1. Create a folder on the hard drive

❖ Example: LAUSD Electronic Rollbook

2. Copy the files listed below from the website () to the folder created on the hard drive in step 1

❖ Files copied include:

❖ Erbinst

❖ Erbwin

❖ Readme

3. Open the folder and DOUBLE-CLICK on the file named ERBINST. This will expand the files in the folder to include ERB. You will also be asked if you want to overwrite a file. Select N. Close the dialog box.

4. To Start the LAUSD Electronic Rollbook

5. Open the folder created on the hard drive, if not already

6. Double-Click on the file named ERB

7. Click OK

8. Insert SIS diskette in to the appropriate floppy drive

9. Click on UTILITIES

10. Click on SETUP CLASS(ES)

11. Change to the appropriate floppy disk drive, generally the A drive

12. Click on the file named CLASSES.TXT

13. Click OK

14. You MUST enter a password – a password of your choice

15. Click OK

16. Click START

17. Remove the floppy diskette from drive and click CLOSE

18. Click on a class

19. Click OK

20. Enter the password provided during setup procedure

21. Click OK

Note: At this stage you have successfully installed the LAUSD Electronic Rollbook.

Creating a Desktop Shortcut

1. Open the folder containing the program on the hard drive

2. Single-Click on the file named ERB

3. Right-Click on the ERB file

4. Click on CREATE SHORTCUT

5. Drag shortcut to the Desktop

6. To rename the shortcut – Right-Click on the icon and select RENAME, if needed
