|Collections and Accounts Receivable job summary |

|Identify and collect on delinquent accounts B2B and AR processes |

|Tasks: |

|Contact Customers to collect on past due accounts |

|Process form letters to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts. |

|Communicates daily with credit manager on collection results and issues. |

|Confers with customer by telephone or in person to determine reason for overdue payment and review terms of sales, service, or |

|credit contract. |

|Collection techniques that are resourceful, authoritative within a friendly atmosphere that encourages payment with the first |

|contact. |

|Sorts and files correspondence, and performs miscellaneous clerical duties. |

|Traces delinquent customer to new address. |

|Records information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts. |

|Receives payments and posts amount paid to customer account, using computer contact management system (Goldmine) and accounting |

|system (QuickBooks Enterprise. |

|Manage collection process through appropriate software and written Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) |

Interpersonal Relationships

• Have a high level of contact with Customers and low level with other team members.

• Deal with unpleasant, angry, or rude people daily.

• Are often in situations where there is a disagreement with debtors.

• Write letters, memos, and e-mails daily.

• Communicate with debtors by phone everyday.

• Work with others as part of a collection team.

Physical Work Conditions

• Desk, computer and file cabinets in two-person accounting office.

• Are sometimes exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.

• Work within close proximity of other team members.

Work Performance

• Must fully complete and be exact in work tasks as decisions made in this department directly affect customer credit history and the relationship with customers.

• Learn customer dynamic and product line.

• Repeat the same physical or mental activities during the work day.

• Can make most decisions without communicating with a supervisor first after 90-day probationary period.

• Can set some tasks and goals without talking to a supervisor.

• Organized to meet strict deadlines weekly.

• Average 20 hours a week

• Schedule subject to change based on increased responsibility or company requirements.
