Make a Comic!

Go to Before you begin your comic, choose the 4 panel comic.

In your comic, include at least a 10 sentence dialogue between 2 people asking person’s name, asking how person is doing, asking where person is from, and how old person is.

You can either print it off and turn it in at the beginning of class (you can just write the accents with a pen after printing it out) or if you are super tech savvy and type the accents using your keyboard (see other side for how to insert accents), you can email it to me at desiree.hanson@dsisd.

PC: MAKE SURE YOUR NUMBER PAD IS TURNED ON. Hold down the ALT key and then type the 3 digits on the number pad and then release the ALT key.

Here is a list of Spanish characters with their alt numbers.

á = ALT + 160 é = ALT + 130

í = ALT + 161 ó = ALT + 162

ú = ALT + 163 ¿ = ALT + 168

¡ = ALT + 173 ñ = ALT + 164

LAPTOP? Find the blue FN key to the right of the CTRL key and hold that down and the ALT key at the same time. Find the blue letters on your keyboard (numbers 789, letters uiojklm) and type those.

MAC: To get accents on the Mac, hold down the Option key, and while holding it down, type the letter e; then release those keys and type the letter that you want the accent to appear on:

á = Opt + e, then a é = Opt + e, then e

í = Opt + e, then I ó = Opt + e, then o

ú = Opt + e, then u

For the ñ, hold down the Option key while you type the n; release and type n again.

ñ = Opt + n, then n

¿ = Shift + Opt + ?

¡ = Opt + 1
