My lexile Score and Reading Interests

My lexile:

My lexile range = 100 points below – 50 points above

• To find the lowest number of your range, subtract 100 from your lexile. (example: if your lexile is 725, the lowest number of your range would be 625)

• To find the highest number of your range, add 50 to your lexile.

(example: if your lexile is 725, the highest number of your range would be 775)

What is your lexile range? -

1. Once you have found your lexile range, go back to a computer.

2. Open an internet browser (Firefox or Internet Explorer)

3. Go to

4. Drag your mouse over “Lexile Tools” in the middle of the page, but don’t click.

5. A dropdown menu should appear. Click on “Find a Book”

6. Enter your lexile level and/or range in the correct fields

7. Select the boxes that match your interests. You can pick as many as you like. You can also click the + sign next to the interests to find subcategories.

8. Click “submit”

9. Browse the book titles in the list. Click on the picture of the book for more information.

10. Create a list of books that interest you. You can look for these books in your classroom library or check them out from your local library.
