School District of Philadelphia FAQ’s

School District of Philadelphia FAQ's

What is the difference between a replacement diploma and a transcript? Transcripts begin to form when you enter high school. Transcript credits are earned for each of your successfully completed classes and are noted on your transcript for each school year that you complete in full. Many colleges and trade schools may ask for your "transcript" and in most cases they will request that you provide them with an "official" transcript.

Your diploma is a certificate with slightly raised lettering and seal. Similar to what you may have received at your graduation ceremony. If interested in requesting a replacement diploma, please use the link for former GRADUATES that would like to order Replacement Diploma.

How do I request an official transcript? Official transcripts will only be sent directly from our office, to the school or the business that is requesting them from you. Only a student copy will be sent to residential addresses or directly to you, the student. WE DO NOT MAIL OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS DIRECTLY TO STUDENTS.

To request an official transcript, please enter the full school or business address of where incoming transcripts are received in the "Add delivery Address" area of the order.

You can send transcripts to multiple schools, by clicking the "Add Additional Address" button, after providing the first school address.

You can also add your home address in the Add Additional address field, if you would like a student copy in addition to the official copy/copies sent to a school/s or business/ businesses. Please note, there is additional cost if more than 1-transcript is ordered.
