Ninety Six National Historic Site

Ninety Six National Historic Site is an area of unique historical significance. In the 1760s Ninety Six was caught up in a mix of human cultures. European settlers were carving out homes on the frontier. African slaves and free men and women also numbered among the new settlers. Meanwhile the native Cherokee felt threatened, yet their growing dependence on English trade goods was undeniable.

As you visit the living history camps today, listen to the sights and sounds of the bustling crossroads town of colonial Ninety Six. The era is recaptured by the talented, dedicated living historians who volunteer their time to recreate a sense of Ninety Six’s early days.

During your visit take time to enjoy this living history weekend at one of America’s most important places.

Ninety Six National Historic Site Staff:

Chief Ranger: Tim Cruze

Interpretive Park Ranger: Melinda M Zupon
