Parents Want More!
1. Reopen Activity 32-33. Right click at the bottom where it says Sheet 1 and click “rename”. Rename this sheet Act 32. Do the same for Sheet 2 and name it Act 33.
2. You used the “Hide” function in order to make your graphy for Activity 32. You will need to “Unhide” these columns now. Click on Columns A and F. Go to Format-column-Unhide and click. The missing columns will reappear.
3. Minimize your spreadsheet and open a web browser. Search for additional California amusement parks. When you find two your like, add their admission prices for adults and children for ONE day only to your existing spreadsheet.
4. Select the row under your fifth amusement park. (If you followed the suggested layout, it will be Row 9.) Go to Insert, and choose row. Repeat to add an additional row. You now have two new rows to put your new data into. Type in the name of the amusement parks in Column A and add the data for the prices and numbers in your family to the remaining columns. Drag the formula down to fill Column F.
5. The average price may not automatically update, so you will need to change the formula in Cell F12 where you figured the average price.
6. This may or may not give you a NEW “closest to the average price” theme park! Do another graph, again hiding columns BE, and designate your new theme park choice on Sheet 2. Refer back to Activity 32 if you need help making the graph again.
7. Print preview to be sure you are on one page and save again as SS Act 32-33. You will use this information again so BE SURE TO SAVE! Submit again through Edmodo with Sheet 2 (Activity 33) opened.
