Minecraft City Design ProjectInstructions: Using Walt Disney’s original plan for E.P.C.O.T. design your own city in Minecraft. Your city must reflect the principles of design/development that are outlined in the "Walt & Epcot Master Plan” and the information presented in the “Walt’s E.P.C.O.T.” google site. Step 1: Read the article "Walt & Epcot Master Plan"Step 2: Explore the “Walt’s E.P.C.O.T.” google site (look through the visuals provided for his initial plan.) Step 3: Create a basic plan for your Minecraft city. Step 4: Go to Minecraft for Education and log in with your student email.Step 5: Make sure you title your world and set it up in “Creative” and “Peaceful” mode so you have access to full inventory and don’t have to worry about damage.Step 6: Find an ideal location to build your city. Step 7: Start building. Things to keep in mind and do while building: Walt planned his design around nature, you should do the same. After you build each structure or area of your city, use the “Board” in the inventory to explain how it is based on Disney’s plan. Be sure to include EVIDENCE from the sources. At the end of each class period, make sure you “Save & Exit,” then go back into your worlds, click the world, click settings, at the bottom of the settings click “Export World” and export it to OneNote. This will work as a back-up just in case the world doesn’t stay linked to your account. Step 8: Present your world to the class. In your presentation, you need to be sure to explain your process and rational for what you built. Don’t forget to explain the connections to Disney’s original plan.
