GEOMETRY TRIANGLE PROOF PROJECT
For this project, you will be demonstrating your understanding of triangle proof by creating your own holiday-themed triangle proof. You will first create a draft of your proof to be checked by a partner. Your final product will be an original mini-poster that will be displayed in the classroom or hallway.
Your project will include the following:
• given statement(s)
• prove statement – you may prove triangles congruent, corresponding parts congruent, or something related to this
• your choice of a two-column, paragraph, or flow proof – your proof must incorporate at least five steps
• a diagram of the triangles and other necessary information – diagram labels must match up with those in the proof
• a holiday-themed design incorporating the geometric diagram
Your grade will be determined by the inclusion of the above information. Neatness, spelling, color, and originality will also impact your grade.
