To plot data from Pspice in Excel:
1. In probe, highlight (by clicking) the data set to be copied. (When selected, the name of the variable is displayed in red.) Copy this data using the “copy” button or “Copy” from the Edit menu.
2. Open Excel. Select “Paste Special” from the Edit menu. Select “Paste” and “as text” and then “ok”.
3. Select the frequency and magnitude of H by clicking on A and while holding down the shift key, clicking on B.
4. Select Chart Wizard and “XY(scatter)”. Select “Next” on the next two menus.
5. Fill in the labels for the axes and title. On the next menu, select finish.
6. Double click on the x-axis and select “logarithmic scale”. Change the minimum for the x-axis to a value appropriate for your data.
To add your experimental data to the plot of Pspice data:
1. Add your experimental data to the Excel worksheet (Put frequency data in column C and magnitude of H in column D.)
2. Highlight the data in columns C and D.
3. Copy the data.
4. Select the chart by clicking on the chart so that the box around the chart is selected.
5. Select “Paste Special” from the Edit menu.
6. Select “Add Cells as a New Series”, “Values (Y) in Columns”, and “Categories (X values) in the First Column”.
