Frequently Asked Questions

Can I receive e-bills for all of my bills? No. However, the number of companies offering e-bills is growing all the time. Billers that offer e-bills will have a "Sign up for e-bill" link located beneath the billers name.

When can I expect to receive my first e-bill? It can take up to two billing cycles to receive your first e-bill.

If I set up an e-bill, will I still receive a paper version of my bill in the mail? Some billers will still send a paper version of your bill in the mail. During the e-bill setup process, most billers will indicate if they still send a paper bill and how you can request to turn off paper billing.

How do I view my e-bills? You will receive an email alert when your e-bill is ready to be viewed. To view the e-bill, sign on to Harris Online Banking and click Payments. Go to the biller and click View e-bill. You will then be able to view an electronic version of your bill.

How do I pay e-bills? You can pay your e-bills from the "Payments" section within Harris Online Banking. On the "Biller" page, find the biller you wish to pay. The amount and date of the bill will be prepopulated. To make the payment, click Pay. You will receive a payment confirmation number to verify your payment has been scheduled.

How do I know if an e-bill has been paid? Your payment will show up in the "View your scheduled/ paid payments" section. The payment will also show in the "Report/History" section.

What should I do if I have not received my e-bill? In the "Manage Your Bills" section look for your biller and review the "E-bill Alert" message in red. If you do not see an "E-bill Alert" message, please contact your biller directly.

Can I set up automatic payments? Yes. You can set up automatic payments for billers to whom you send the same amount each month, such as your insurance, phone or cable company. You can also set up automatic payments in response to an e-bill, according to the rules you specify (such as pay the minimum due, full balance, etc.).

How do I set up automatic payments? Once you've signed on to Harris Online Banking, from the "Manage your bills" area click Payments and select the biller you want to pay. Then, click Options and select Set up auto-pay and follow the on-screen instructions.

Can I set up alerts or notifications for my e-bills? Yes. If you've set up e-bills for any biller, you can set up an alert when your bill has arrived, if an e-bill was not received or if a payment has not been scheduled. These alerts are sent via email. You can also set up payment reminders for each biller.

How do I set up alerts or notifications for my e-bills? You can set up alerts by signing on to Harris Online Banking and clicking Payments. The bill pay alerts are managed through the "Alert Preferences" option under the "Helpful resources" section. There are reminders for each biller that can be changed. In the "Manage my bills" area, select biller, click Options and select Edit biller details.

What should I do if I don't see an e-bill available for my biller? Not all billers offer e-bills. However, new e-bills are being added all the time. If there is a biller from which you would like to receive an e-bill and you don't see it available, please let us know. We can then work to get that e-bill added.
