| |Media literacy can be defined as the ability to access, analyze, critically evaluate |

|Brief course description |and create new media content. The main goal of this course is to introduce students to|

| |different subjects of media literacy. These are: potentially harmful media content, |

| |media habits of children and adults, media genres, regulation and self-regulation |

| |(conventions, national laws and codes of ethics for journalists and advertisers etc.) |

| |and new technologies and, according to that, new media ways of expression. |
