Excel Practice Application (Payroll) ITE 115

Create an Excel worksheet and enter the following data:

• Save the worksheet with the name: Payroll – your own name.

• Rename the sheet tab Payroll and delete all the other sheets.

• Enter a formula to calculate the number of years the first employee has worked for the company represented in the above worksheet. You will need to subtract the date the employee was hired from the current date, which is in cell B2, and then divide the difference by the number of days in a year. For the purpose of this assignment, do not account for leap years. Copy the formula to calculate the number of years for the remaining employees. Remember to use absolute cell references when appropriate.

• Compute the total, average, highest, and lowest salary.

• Include a 3-D clustered column chart showing each employee and their corresponding salary.

Format the worksheet and chart as shown in the figure below. That is what your final worksheet should look like:

• Bold the entire worksheet.

• The font and font size of the worksheet should be Calibri and 11 except for the title which should be Times New Roman and 20.

• The worksheet title should to be centered across the columns A-D.

• The worksheet title should have a font color of white and a background color of blue.

• Cell A2 should have a blue font and the columns titles in row 4 should be centered.

• The numbers should be formatted as shown in the figure below.

• The range A12-D12 should have a single line top border and a double line bottom border.

• Cells A12-A15 should be italicized.

• The height of row 13 should be 24 pixels (0.25 inches).

• Use style 4 for the chart and position and size the chart as shown in the figure below.

• Include a blue chart title, no legend and boldface the chart title and the x- and y-axis labels.
