Course Requirements:
This is the second semester of a two semester course in English Conversation. The purpose of this class is to build your conversation skills and confidence. Conversation requires two equally important skills: listening and speaking. To develop these skills, it is necessary for you to practice them. This will be done predominantly in class and, therefore, a significant portion of your course grade will be based on your participation in class and your attendance. Please try to attend all class meetings and arrive on time
Expectations:
You are expected to come to class prepared. I require every student to have their own unused textbook, paper and writing utensil for every class. You are expected to take notes, ask and answer questions and pay attention during class. Feel free to use your cell phones for reference, dictionary or other class related functions. Do not abuse this privilege. Kakoa Talk is not a class related function and will result in the confiscation of your cell phone.
Grades:
Participation 20%
Final Exam 70%
Attendance 10%
