Includes the real number system, convergence, continuity, differentiability, and elementary integration theory. 0135255Course Requirements-Every three week exams There will be a short exam every three week in two parts; Part 1: about 30 minutes on blackboard starting 30 minutes before/after class meeting time and plus using the class time due within two hours and 20 minutes. Part 2 is a proof-based one also on blackboard, individualized released on the day of the online class meeting till the Monday after the day of part 1 exam by 11:59 pm. Each exam is comprehensive and grades for missing exams due to documented emergencies will come from applying an appropriate percent to final exam score. No make-up, retake, extensions or additional work as replacement will be considered. Under recordings, there will also be short tutorials; one on general introduction to class, assessments, class procedure, tools to be used, and class rules and regulations, and others on technology to be used. 2. Classwork based on recorded lectures:Following each lecture note, there will be at least one classwork-lecture from the particular lecture notes to be posted on blackboard within the same week no later than Wednesdays 11:59 pm. There will be blackboard folders designated for these assignments through homepage.Weekly online meetings and short group quizzes:Class-meeting times through blackboard-ultra will be used to address questions/concerns or when/if needed, go over topics from the lecture notes. During this time, there will also be a quiz question to be discussed with groups of 4-5 classmates within break-out rooms and posted by the end of the same day, (11:59pm) on blackboard.Even though the course meetings will take place during class meeting times set by UTEP, meetings will be recorded and posted on blackboard under “recordings” right after the completion of the meeting for those who may not be able to attend.Blackboard course site (homepage) includes a folder called “Q&A discussion”. This folder can be used to post course related questions for everyone in the class to see and add their opinions. Instructors may also add their inputs.
