Write each poem on sentence strips.

Initial letters for that poem’s letter can be made in a different color.

The teacher reads the poem first. The class reads along the second time.

Children find the words that have the letter at the beginning.

Write as a response on their whiteboard

then choose children to put in word/picture cards in the blanks
