***Backup your Shared Mcamx directory prior to uninstalling any software

To completely uninstall Mastercam from your system follow these steps:

1. Open the Control Panel and use the Windows Programs and Features to uninstall Mastercam 2. Next open your computer and navigate to "C:\Program Files\". Delete the mcamx# directory (substitute

your version number for "#") 3. Finally start regedit and delete "Mastercam X#" at HKCU\Software\CNC Software, Inc.\

Restart your computer and reinstall the software and all the latest updates.

Following these steps will completely uninstall Mastercam from your computer and leave your personal settings and machine definitions in place. In some instances one of these locations may be causing the issue with the software. In this case it is advised to delete the "My mcamx" and "Shared mcamx" folders from your computer prior to reinstalling. Be sure to back up all machine files prior to deleting the "shared mcamx" folder.
