[Pages:2]Uninstall a Program in Windows

Provided by:

This is a guide on how to uninstall a program in Windows. Be careful to not remove a needed program. If in doubt, consult with SmartPath first. The ability to remove a program may also be limited by your specific computer/company settings. Screenshots shown are from Windows 10, but the process is similar in older versions.

1. Click on the Start button and type in the search, "Programs and Features." You likely will not need to type the entire phrase for Windows to locate the correct option. Once it is located, click on the icon.

2. Once the Programs and Features window opens, locate the program you wish to remove. Click it once to select it, then press the "Change/Uninstall" button at the top of the window.

3. Most programs will give a brief wizard, requiring "OK" to be clicked a few times to verify uninstall, then a Close or Finish button to exit the wizard. Follow this prompt to complete removing your program. Reboot as/if necessary.

If you have any questions or require assistance, submit a ticket with SmartPath via client portal, email, or calling 270-205-4709.
