This nine-session course is designed to provide an in-depth study of both diagnostic and procedural coding through the use of lecture, interactive discussion, actual examples, homework and multiple-choice quizzes. Students will receive training, tips, and information needed to be successful taking the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam.

Program Highlights:

We will cover the following topics during class:

Each topic will be taught in detail during an interactive presentation where you are encouraged to ask questions and give examples of coding issues you have encountered. You will receive homework assignments for each topic with varying levels of difficulty beginning with simpler coding examples to some of the most complex examples. You will also learn to code surgeries from operative reports. In addition, you will receive instruction and extensive experience on answering multiple choice coding questions such as those found on the CPC exam.

Throughout the course, you will receive training and tips on various CPC exam topics and styles of questions. Our goal is for you to pass the CPC exam should you decide to take it!
