Create a New eVTR

COMMON SCREEN COMMANDS Tap:

Edit to change or delete information. Next to go to the next screen in the series. Back to go back to the previous screen. Save to save an entry or a change. Done when you are ready to move on to the next screen or section. Cancel to exit the current section without making changes.

Step 1: Log In

Step 1A: Device Home Screen

1. Tap Fish Online icon

to log in.

Step 1B: Login

1. Type Fish Online username and password.

2. Tap Log In button.

Step 1C: NOAA-eVTR

1. Tap + icon

to open Start New Trip screen.

General Usage Hints: When reviewing information, remember to scroll down to see all information. Fish Online offers auto-complete when possible. Fish Online supplies zero values when possible. Fish Online creates Favorites from your past reports.

Step 2: Define

Trip

Step 2A: Select Vessel

1. Tap Vessel Name.

Step 2B: Select Vessel 1. Tap existing vessel in list or key in name or

permit number in text

box.

Step 2C: Enter Date Time

Sailed 1. Tap Date Time Sailed text box. 2. Use calendar wheel to select

date/time.

Step 2D: Trip Type 1. Tap Trip Type text box. 2. Use menu wheel to select trip type.

Step 2E: Trip Type 1. Tap Number of Crew and/or Number of Anglers text box. 2. Use number pad to select number.

Step 2F: New Trip Review 1. Review info about

new trip. 2. Tap Save to save

the entries or

tap Back to go back to a previous screen.

Step 2 User Hints: Times are in AM/PM format. If a non-commercial trip, Fish Online will prompt for tripappropriate information, such

as gear and crew.

Step 3: Define Effort

Step 3A: NOAAeVTR

1. Tap Effort at

the bottom of

the screen.

Step 3B: New Effort Gear 1. Tap Gear Code

text box. 2. Tap an existing

code in the list or

Type a code or name.

3. Tap and complete Gear info that

applies to Trip Type.

Step 3C: New Effort Area 1. Tap Chart Area text

box. 2. Tap existing chart area or key in a new chart area in the text

box. 3. Tap and complete Effort info that applies

to Trip Type.

Step 3D: Lat/Lon for Effort Area 1. Tap Latitude/ Longitude Format text box. 2. Use wheel to select format. 3. Tap and complete Latitude, then Longitude. 4. Tap Save.

Step 3E: Effort

1. Review Effort info. 2. Tap Edit to edit or delete this Effort info

or tap Add Catch to continue to add catch to

Effort record or

tap < Trip Report to proceed to the next step.

Step 3 User Hints: You can add species only

after you have defined the effort. After that, you can add species by accessing the

appropriate Effort, then tapping Add Catch.

Step 3: Identify

Step 3A: Trip Report 1. Review the information listed in the sections: Trip Report Trip Efforts Trip Sales

Step 4: Choose Action

Step 4A: 1. Tap Edit. (Fish Online brings up Edit

Screen.)

Step 3B: NOAA eVTR 1. Tap the field you want to edit in the appropriate section.

Step 3 User Hints: Make sure you scroll through the entire screen to see all three sections that you

can edit. Remember that you can get to the Catch by tapping the appropriate Effort under Trip Effort, then the appropriate Catch

under Effort Catch Report.

Step 5: Edit or Delete Content

Step 5A: 1. To edit content, continue to Step 5B; to delete content, continue

to Step 5C.

Step 5B: To edit content: 1. Make the desired

change. 2. Tap Save to save

the change.

Step 5C: To delete content: 1. Tap Delete xxxx at bottom of screen to remove the content (at this point, the Delete operation would be

finished).

Step 5 User Hints: When you delete, Fish Online always lets

you know what you are deleting (for example, a field, a section, or an entire

report). Fish Online always makes you confirm a

Delete operation.

Step 6: Finish Session

Step 6A: Sign

1. Tap Sign at the

bottom of the screen.

Step 6B: End Trip 1. Review Sailed/Landed information. 2. Tap Next to proceed.

Step 6C: End Trip 1. Review Sales information. 2. Tap Next to proceed.

Step 6D: End Trip 1. Review Terms and Conditions information and tap the checkbox to sign the eVTR. 2. Tap Submit.

Step 6 User Hints: To delete an entire trip, go to

the Home screen (NOAAeVTR), tap the trip you want to delete, tap Edit, then tap Delete Trip at the bottom of

the screen.
