SUBJECT: Completion of Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)

With my memorandum dated October 23, 1998, I informed you of specific deficiencies in your performance as Bank Examiner (Associate), CG-0570-12. By memorandum dated January 28, 1999 the PIP was extended to allow you to meet all of the provisions required by the performance plan. On April 2, 1999 the performance plan expired.

During the period of the PIP we met frequently, discussed your progress and exchanged ideas for further improvement in your work. Your performance has improved to a satisfactory level of performance. However, should your performance fall to an unsatisfactory level during the one year period dating from October 23, 1998, the effective date of the PIP, appropriate action may be taken, up to and including proposing your removal from the Federal service. You will not be offered another opportunity to demonstrate acceptable performance during this period.

It is my hope that you will continue to perform at a fully satisfactory level. If you have any questions with regard to this matter, do not hesitate to discuss them me.
