Business Analytics CapstoneAshish KhandelwalCourse Overview: In the Business Analytics Capstone course, you will synthesize, apply and demonstrate your knowledge from the courses in business analytics specialization. You will work in groups to solve a business problem based on the data provided to you. You will have the option to choose business problem in your preferred business function: Marketing and Finance. We will provide one problem from each business function for you to choose from. You will complete the following steps for chosen problem:Problem identification and definitionData Collection (data will be provided to you)Data cleaning and preprocessing, Exploratory data analysis & visualization, Feature extraction & selection, Model building, Model comparison, and Model selectionCommunication of resultsYou are expected to use R or R Studio Cloud for this course. You will have the opportunity to seek help through Office Hours support, Class Q&A forum, and Live Session discussions. Course DeliverablesInitial problem analysis (individual assignment): You will translate the business problem into machine learning/ data analytic problem. You will submit a writeup that covers the following: problem framed as a machine learning task, identification of the target variables, features/ input, and modeling goals. This will also include basic exploratory data analysis (EDA). Summary report (group assignment): You will share a summary report of the project. Based on the summary report, we will select the best two projects for each problem and would invite these groups to present their work during the final live session. Groups may present using their R-Markdown (RMD) files. Final report and RMD file (group assignment) – This report will cover details of all the steps. RMD file will have clean, well commented codes along with the visualizations.
