A professional profile is a brief summary of your skills, strengths, key experiences and expertise. The goal is the creation of a professional identity.
The professional profile can serve as a starting point in online networking platforms such as the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education's Professional Directory, or for inclusion in a cover letter for an application.
Suggested Guidelines:
? Keep the document to one page ? Write a personal statement that addresses the
following:
o Focus of your IPECP work. o Include work settings (clinics, academic
I nstitutions, community, etc.) o Include quantifiable results (e.g.,
Initiated two interprofessional courses focused on effective teamwork serving 200+ students each semester) o Choose your words carefully. Keep your profile wording simple and free from figurative language, metaphors and other vague language. o Provide 4-5 examples of key scholarly work related to IPECP.
