REASON FOR ISSUANCE
Major changes: See changes or additions in text which have been highlighted. Three stars (***) identify information that has been removed.
1. Revised the handbook to incorporate the most recent FCIC loss adjustment handbook standards format and standard language. Many paragraphs and sections within the handbook were rewritten or relocated to increase clarity and understanding. Throughout the handbook, references were revised to reflect the new handbook format, removal and rearrangement of various sections and tables. Throughout the amended pages, changes were made to correct spelling, punctuation, formatting and to correct subparagraph and section numbering.
2. Reformatted the handbook into Parts, paragraphs, subparagraphs, sections, subsections and exhibits in accordance with the new handbook standards format.
3. Subparagraph 13 A (10): Added language to describe quality adjustment for high amylase and blue types of corn.
4. Subparagraph 21 (3): Added language for replanting procedures for specialty types of corn.
5. Exhibit 8: Updated the quality adjustment factors on the PWs examples.
6. Exhibit 12: Added a new corn stand reduction chart for percent of potential remaining for the 11th leaf through 17th leaf stages of growth. Updated instructions throughout handbook where these new chart factors would be used.
7. Exhibit 14: Added a new hail stand reduction loss chart for 11th leaf through 17th leaf stages of growth. Updated instructions throughout handbook where these new chart factors would be used.
