Logging in to Zoom

If participants are not logged into Zoom when they join a meeting, they will join as "guest". Guests will not be recognized as being part of the MSUM community and may have limited rights and access.

To first establish your minnstate Zoom account

? Go to the website ? Select Sign In ? Sign in with your StarID and Password

In addition to establishing your minnstate Zoom account, this site will provide resources for your own Meeting Room and advanced settings for your Zoom account.

Installed Zoom client/application Each time you join a meeting you will be prompted to "Open zoom.us" application. If prompted to "Sign In" or "Join Meeting", always sign in first to ensure you are recognized as part of the MSUM community.

1. Select "Sign In"

2. Sign in with SSO.

Tip: To avoid having to sign in each time, select the box for "Keep Me Signed In".

3. Enter "minnstate" as your company domain.

4. Log in with your StarID and password.

Logging in to Zoom

To check your log in identity, open the Zoom client application. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the window to reveal profile menu. Dropdown should indicate your account is Licensed

Logging in to Zoom Mobile App

If it does not, or if you are in doubt, sign out and then re-sign in according to directions on previous page.

Download and install Zoom app. Open and select "Sign In"

Select Sign in with SSO (single

sign on)

Enter minnstate as your company domain

Sign in with StarID and password
