WUPPERMAN CAMPGROUND RULES

PROHIBITED ACTS GENERALLY. The following regulations are adopted. Any person violating or acting contrary to any regulation set forth herein commits a Class 2 petty offense as defined in Section 18-1-107, C.R.S., as amended. If any of the regulations shall conflict with any other applicable law or regulation, the more stringent requirement shall control.

DEVELOPED CAMPGROUND REGULATIONS

1. Wupperman Campground promotes a peaceful camping experience. Noise may not go beyond your site, day or night. Loud or drunken behavior is never tolerated. Quiet time is from 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. Generator use is permitted only between the hours of 7a.m. and 10 p.m.

2. Campers must register by depositing the registration form and $15.00 per day, per site fee with the campground host, or in the designated drop box if the campground host cannot be found, upon arrival.

3. First come, first served. No reservations, no deposits, no cancellation needed or allowed. No refunds.

4. Campers and visitors must observe a 5 mph speed limit in the campground. Bicycles/motorized vehicles must remain on designated roadways only. Off-road or trail use is prohibited.

5. Barrier Free Campsites: Only Campers with mobility impairments can register for Barrier-Free campsites. Barrier-Free campsites may be assigned to any mobility impaired person on a first-com, first-served basis. Barrier-free campsites may be registered to anyone if empty after 8 p.m.

6. Camping is permitted in designated areas only. Please keep all equipment on assigned campsite only. Only one (1) camping unit per one (1) individual campsite is permitted. Campers and Visitors are welcome to fill water jugs and RV water tanks. Faucet adaptors and hoses must be disconnected after use.

7. Camping in any one campsite may be limited to fourteen (14) days and will be enforced, by and through, the sole discretion of the campground host.

8. Checkout time is 12:00 noon.

9. Hinsdale County wants you to have a safe stay. Please respect the campground hosts’ requests with regard to safety.

10. To prevent accidents and injuries, children less than six (6) years of age must be accompanied to the restrooms at all times.

11. Pets must be confined or on a leash. Owners may not allow dogs to eliminate in another’s campsite. Dogs are not permitted to be left unattended. Barking, annoying or vicious dogs must be removed from the campground. The campground host shall have sole discretion in the eviction of a dog.

12. Unattended campfires are strictly prohibited in developed campgrounds. Fires are permitted in fire rings only. Campers/visitors are not permitted to move the fire rings. Campers and visitors are required to obey all fire bans. Bonfires are prohibited. Firewood can be gathered from dead and downed trees only. Chainsaw use is prohibited.

13. Trash cans/dumpsters are provided for trash only, not for waste. Trash receptacles are for campers. Campers/visitors are prohibited from using trash receptacles to dump household or commercial trash originating outside the campground. Campers/visitors must close dumpster lids securely. Bears become a problem when trash is handled improperly.

14. Please dispose of all waste at the Trailer Dump Station. There is a $10 fee for use of the dump station. The dump station is for registered Wupperman campers only. All others will be fined $50 for unauthorized dump station use.

15. The dumping of gray or black water in the outhouses is strictly prohibited.

16. Campers/Visitors will be charged a $50 cleanup fee for any destruction, messing, defacing or vandalism of campground property, including the restrooms, by themselves, their children or their guests.

17. The summer camping season begins May and ends October. All seasonal campers agree to and are governed by these rules. We require all seasonal campers to clean up their sites the first and last two weeks of the season.

18. Family gatherings are fun! We encourage family gatherings not to disturb neighboring sites. A gathering of ten (10) or more people must register with the campground host to discuss the group’s plans.

19. Anyone acting in disturbance of the peace or as a nuisance to other campers, at any time, will first be given a warning. Upon a second violation, the disturbing or nuisance party or parties, will be evicted from the campground. The campground host has sole discretion as to the behavior-constituting nuisance or disturbing of the peace.

20. No person under 21 years of age shall possess alcoholic beverages. The use, display, or possession of illegal drugs or illegal substances of any kind, is strictly prohibited. Abuse of alcohol or drugs by persons of any age will be cause for immediate eviction from the campground and notification of the authorities. The campground host has sole discretion as to the eviction of a party or parties for the Abuse of alcohol or drugs.

21. No person is permitted to discharge firearms. Use, display and possession of firearms, air powered guns, paint-ball guns, fireworks, explosives, weapons (other than common hunting, fishing or pocketknives for intended purposes). Violation of this rule will result in immediate eviction and notification of the authorities.

22. Hinsdale County reserves the right to refuse campground access and service to anyone for any legal purpose.

23. Hinsdale County and Management assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, illness, loss or theft of money, valuables or damage to property or person of any kind. Including, but not limited to, acts of God or nature, accidents, fire or vandalism. All campers assume the responsibility of maintaining proper insurance on their camper and personal property.

VIOLATIONS:

No person shall violate these rules, fail to comply with a lawful instruction of a County employee or volunteer, fail to comply with a lawful instruction contained on a County sign or attempt to prevent County employees or volunteers from performing their duties. A violation of any campground rule is grounds for eviction and/or a fine of up to $50.00 per incident. Anyone evicted is not entitled to a refund or permitted to return to the campground for one month. The campground host and County officials reserve the right, acting individually or together, and at their sole discretion, to remove persons or animals that are detrimental to the health, safety, peace and welfare of management or others using the campground. By registering at the campground, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these rules and regulations provided herein.
