Infants:

We painted with paint cups this week! The infants enjoyed dipping paint brushes in the paint and then painting the paper. We also brought down a tunnel from the gym and the infants explored rolling it around the classroom and crawling through it. There are new sensory bottles in the

classroom filled with water beads! The infants love looking at them, carrying them around and shaking them!

Toddlers:

Toddlers had so much fun camping out in the classroom! On Tuesday we made a tent out of sheets and on Wednesday, Missy brought in her tent!! We played with silly putty, made footprints, and finger painted. We also spent a lot of time playing in the snow! We built a big snowman and made a tunnel to crawl through. February is cooperative snack month in toddlers. Sign up on the door if you would like to participate! Have a great weekend! We are having a pool party in the classroom on Friday the 22nd! Please remember to bring in a bathing

suit and towel! Thanks so much to Jessica's family for all the squeezers and to the Trump family for more soft tissues!

Younger Preschool:

This week we have enjoyed ice cube painting, Q-tip painting, and working on Valentine's. We also explored water beads, Kinex, and gears! We went snowshoeing and did lots of playing in all the deep snow! Have a great weekend! Wish List: We would love some vegetable oil, flour, and liquid

starch for playdough and gak making!

Older Preschool:

What a busy and fun week we had! We went snowshoeing two days in a row? it was very exhausting but FUN! We had an awesome community lunch on Thursday and Nicole R. made many things from James and the Giant Peach with us! Nicole M. got out fun things for the light table; shaving cream with paint was a favorite! We also mixed paint and hair gel together and made beautiful paintings. Nate made us a fun way to interact with the book I Stink. Come take a look! Gerry set up the puppet stage and is working with us on putting on a puppet show.

Wish List: We would love white socks (adult and child sized) to make puppets and buttons to glue on the puppets!

Kindergarten:

Kindergarten started off the week by continuing to learn about woodpeckers. We learned about the different sounds that they make and how they use their sticky tongues to eat! We even put on a woodpecker play after making our own costumes! We have transitioned into learning about frogs. We observed frogs in their environment (check the frog tank in the lobby for our observations) and explored our senses by making slime and

feeling different frogrelated textures. We also fished for lettered frogs off the tree house and worked on our large muscles by leaping on numbered lily pads. To celebrate Valentine's Day, we threw a party complete with friendship fruit salad to focus on social skills. We made cookies and bracelets too! Thank you to all the families who donated the delicious fruit for our friendship fruit salad!

School Age:

This week afterschool was busy preparing for and celebrating Valentine's Day! We made Valentine's for the special people in our lives using our new favorite art material;

doilies! We also created some "heart art" with Griffin and constructed with marshmallows and toothpicks. Our new book for our group story is Superfudge by Roald Dahl. The Boxcar Children ended happily ever after, and we are excited to start a new adventure!
