Aerojet Rocketdyne seeks an HR Manager at our growing Camden, AR facility. Relocation is provided. 

 

Responsible for the strategic leadership of human resources activities to support business and organizational objectives for Camden, AR location which has approximately 550 employees.

 

Essential Job Duties:

25% - Manage employee relations activities for the Camden site; conduct company private investigations.

20%- Ensuring the application of various HR processes and programs and their alignment with organizational needs and business strategies. Areas include:

·      Employee fulfillment and retention

·      Employee relations

·      Compensation and salary planning

·      Development and performance management

·      Talent acquisition

·      Resource allocation

·      Affirmative action planning

·      Diversity agenda

·      Leadership development

·      Succession planning

10%- Manage, appraise, motivate, and develop direct reports.

10%- Accountable to drive innovative and effective human resources strategies that support the organization’s business objectives.

10%- Consult with management on a variety of HR and business related issues on both strategic and tactical levels.

10%- Build and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and employees to provide advice and counsel for employee-related and organizational matters.

5%- Work as a strategic business partner to ensure HR strategies are aligned to support the business and transition activities.

5%- Partner with leadership to plan and execute strategies that ensure maximum engagement and retention of human resource capital.

5%- Lead projects with significant scope and complexity within the HR organization as well as with the line organization.

 

Requirements:

 

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field and a minimum of nine (9) years of progressive experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Additional Requirements:

·      Minimum three (3) years of experience in an HR management role.

·      Must possess prior HR experience providing coaching and counseling to senior leaders.

·      Must be very proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

·      Candidate must have experience leading teams and possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrated track record of positive employee relations.

·      Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with company policies, procedures, regulations or government law.

·      Solid knowledge of HR laws and regulations.

·      U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires the employee to have access to premises which are subject to national security requirements of the United States under government contracts that impose US Citizenship requirements for such position

Desired Qualifications:

·      Master’s degree or MBA a plus. PHR or SPHR Certification is a plus.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
