Transcript: Rainforest - Education Scotland

Pupil 1: Here is a question, would you like to live in the tropical rainforest?

Pupil 2: Well I would but I wouldn’t because all the poison animals and all the dangerous animals I’ve heard of, well, kind of would but not that much

Pupil 3: I would like to but you would need to have the certain things to live there because, like Kirsty said, the dangerous animals, if they were there you would need stuff to protect yourself but it would be really good if you lived there because you could still put, like make a house up high, like in the trees in the branches so like the animals can’t get up that high to you

Pupil 1: True

Pupil 4: I would like to but, the same as Kirsty, I wouldn’t really because there is quite dangerous animals and there’s poisonous and you would maybe get poison and then you would need to, you’d be ill

Pupil 5: I wouldn’t like to because there’s like all the wild animals and then they could

Pupil 4: Attack you

Pupil 5: Yes

Pupil 4: Calum

Pupil 1: I kind of would like to, if I could build power cables and buy everything

Pupil 3: You really could but you would have to have all the medications to help you but still, if you had the snakes it would be scary

Pupil 4: Yes, you would need to have all the medications if you like catch a disease or...

Pupil 2: And you would have to have the weapons, like I found out on the computer last night that the Yanomami tribe, the poison arrow frog, they hold it very carefully and then the frog thinks, ‘oh they’re attacking me’ and it gives off their poison and they get their poison dart and then they go (blows) and in it goes and it kills animals and, well you would have to have the confidence and the courage to do that
