Preoperative DX: Left Breast mass |1| Procedure: Left Breast Ultrasound guided breast biopsy Procedure was discussed with patient and consent was obtained. The lesion was identified with ultrasound in the left breast at 2:00; 5 cm from the nipple. |2| Using betadine skin prep and 1% lidocaine with epinephrine local anesthesia, 8 gauge vacuum assisted biopsy needle was advanced into the mass under sonographic guidance and one core was taken from the mass. |3| A clip was placed. |4| Post clip placement sonographic image shows clip in lesion. Dressings were applied. Specimen sent for pathology. Patient tolerated procedure well. Will follow up in 2?3 days for results and check of biopsy site. _____________________________________________________________
