The positioning was intended to correspond to the significance of the cause when multiple causes contribute to the death.E.g. “Row ‘1’ and column ‘2’” means that the cause code has been entered at the second column on the first row. This cause is considered more significant than the cause that is positioned at the third column on the same row.Note: Codes are often entered in a random order, and therefore, the description above is not always applicable. ................
