COVID-19 labs - University of Rochester Medical Center

Querying COVID-19 labs and diagnoses in TriNetXThe purpose of this document is to provide URMC researchers with instructions in querying COVID-19 related labs and diagnoses on TriNetX Live. COVID-19 labseRecord tracks lab results processed both at a reference lab and within URMC Labs. There is one COVID-19 PCR test, and it is mapped to LOINC code 94500-6, “SARS coronavirus 2 RNA [Presence] in Respiratory specimen by NAA with probe detection”, in TriNetX. All lab results are transformed to a binary outcome in TriNetX, where “1” represents a positive test result. To obtain a count of lab-confirmed COVID-19 positive patients:Type in LOINC code 94500-6 in the “MUST Have” search term boxSet the Lab Value Range to “Greater than or equal to 1”Set the Lab Value Occurrence to “Ever”Save the criteria and run “Count Patients”A screenshot of the sample query in TriNetX is shown below:COVID-19 related diagnosesThe new ICD-10-CM diagnosis code U07.1 was not in active use in eRecord until April1, 2020.
