Dear Parents / Caregivers

The College has finalised the minimum device requirements for students for the 2022 academic

year, to ensure parents have visibility and can purchase accordingly.

New students entering Years 7-9 require an iPad 9, Combo Touch Case & Stylus.

New students entering Years 10-12 require a MacBook Air 2020 or MacBook Pro.

Other important considerations include:

? Students should only bring one device to school:

o An iPad with stylus and keyboard case in year 7-9

o A MacBook in year 10-12

? New devices purchased for 2022 for Year 7 & 10 students will be used for 3 years

? At August 2021 for Year 7 students commencing in 2022 the anticipated iPad 9 is yet to

be released.

? Parents and carers of 2022 Year 7 and Year 10 students need to be aware there will

may be delays to delivery of device orders as supply chains have been disrupted due to

COVID, floods and a shortage of certain components.

? We are working with our partner Winthrop Australia to identify whether a deposit or

reservation can be made, however nothing has been confirmed at this stage. We¡¯d like

to advise parents to consider being ready to place orders in October to help ensure

delivery before the new school year.

? MacBook Pros are only recommended for students in Years 10,11 & 12 doing Media/AIT

? New Students commencing at the College for the first time in 2022 in Years 8, 9, 11 and

12 can purchase from the minimum required device specification below

To help ensure equity and capability for all students, is essential for learning in all year levels to

have devices at the minimum to help ensure equity and capability for all students.

For Year 7 students in 2022 it is essential the iPad is brought to the College in January in

an ¡°out of the factory¡± condition to ensure it can be enrolled correctly onto the College¡¯s

network. Please do not set up the iPad or if you have, please back-up, erase and reset it. A

timeline of January dates when students can have their iPad enrolled will be provided later.
