Class fee of $10 (includes cost of Auto Tech Shirt).Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.) TRAINING PROGRAMWhite uniform pants, navy blue scrub top, white tie shoes, name tag purchased through KACC, pocket notebook, pens, watch with sweeping second hand. A two-step TB test (required). TB testing may be done through local health departments, family physician or occupational health departments. Highly recommend TB tests are done over summer as they require multiple trips to provider and are due before 1st day of clinical. Hepatitis B vaccine (recommended, but not mandatory) at student’s expense. Class Fee is due and payable to Kankakee Area Career Center within the first week of School. The fee per year is:$120, covering the cost of CPR Card, IDPH required Fingerprint/Background Check, Picture ID Badge and Mosby’s Textbook for Nursing Assistants – 9th Edition TextbookAfter successful completion of KACC’s and State IDHP requirements, C.N.A. Training Students will take the CNA State Exam (Estimated Fee is $65.00 based on 2016 Test Fee)Flu Shots are highly encouraged and may be mandated by Manteno Veteran’s Home. CHILD DEVELOPMENT/PRESCHOOLA one-step TB test is required and may be done through a local health facility or your personal physician, at the student's expense, Scrubs (top and bottom), two 2 ? inch binders and 1 set of dividers, notebook paper and writing utensils including a highlighter and 1 Post-it Notepad. ADDITIONAL COSTS: Class Fee for 1st and 2nd Year Students is $30 each year to cover cost of ECE Workbooks and CPR Training and Certification. Also recommend cold weather clothing, work gloves, rubber overshoes for mud.COSMETOLOGYStudents are responsible for purchasing an equipment kit for the first year, second year, and for the summer program. The items provided in the kit are required to progress in the class. Kit fees for fall, first and second year, are due on or before the first day of class. Kit fees and tuition for the summer are due no later than May 15, 2017. All kits meet industry standards and are sold at our cost. Payment plans are not offered. Students will not be enrolled nor will they be able to earn hours toward their Cosmetology license until appropriate fees are paid. Summer Session is NOT an option. Summer curriculum is required in order for students to qualify to licensure examination. Additional Costs: Optional $25.00 Class Fee for CPR/AED certifications.WELDING TECHNOLOGYWelding jacket (required), Long leather welding gloves (required), All-leather work boots (must be over top of ankle) – (required), Welding Helmet with No. 5 & 10 Extra-Clear Lenses ( approximately $25.00), Work Jeans (must be in good shape, not ripped or frayed), Tape measurer – 12’ minimum length, Ear plugs, Safety glasses (first pair provided by KACC), Tip cleaner and wire brush (may be purchased at any welding supply store or Farm & Fleet), Pen, Pencil, Notebook – regular and pocket note book. For GTAW (TIG) Welding, students will need to purchase 2 pieces of E3 3/32 x 7” pieces of Tungsten Electrode (Approximate cost of $6.0 ea).
