Abstract

The use of the tabletop display as an input/output device is an exciting and emerging research area. There are various implementations of these systems using hardware such as projectors, touch displays, Tablet PCs or white board capture devices. This presentation will give an overview of current tabletop display projects and applications.

About the Speaker

Lauren Landrigan is a recent graduate from Monmouth University with a M.S. (2007) and a B.S. (2004) in Software Engineering. As a student at Monmouth University, Lauren was the editor of the literary magazine (The Monmouth Review) and the chair of the IEEE Student Chapter. Lauren now works for the U.S. Army as a computer scientist and for the Rapid Response Institute as a researcher. A portion of Lauren's research work was published at the IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (2006/2007), the Computer-Human Interactions Conference (CHI

2006) and the IEEE International Workshop on Horizontal Interactive Human-Computer Systems (TableTop 2007).
