The District shall not be responsible for loss, theft or destruction of devices brought onto school property. BLACK HISTORY NIGHTOn February 4th we will be having a Black History Night in the Cafeteria from 6:00-7:30 pm.? We will have music, food and performances. Additionally we would like to have students make a display of an African American person in history of your choice.? I’m looking for student participation so please come Ms. Martinez office TODAY or sign up on Cascades Home Page. Hope to see you there NATIONAL KINDNESS WEEKIt is National Kindness week! Help make Cascade an ever better place by participating in the daily tasks. Today we challenge you to:Help each other : open the door, pick up items, hold the door open, etc.Students and staff showing the daily challenge will be entered into a raffle and we will announce winners at the end of the day!?Students, during intramurals we are going to open the gym on some days. Remember: no food or drink is allowed outside the cafeteria. During this time the gym is a quiet area, and once you are in, you're in. If you want to play basketball, soccer, football, or run around, stay outside. If you want to socialize, or have a quiet environment then the gym might be something you pick.CLUBSDo you like to sing? Whether you like belting a song at full blast in the car or you want to practice singing with a microphone karaoke is a fun club to sing and dance and have fun. Grab a snack, your friends and join us in room 505 every Tuesday 2:30 to 3:30.Craft club is back bigger and better than ever! Join us on Thursdays to learn how to sew, crochet, macrame and other fun projects. All are welcome! Bring your creativity Thursdays 2:30 to 3:30 room 314.The next PTSA meeting is being held on Monday, Feb. 3rd at 5:30.LISTEN UP 7TH AND 8TH GRADE STUDENTS:Mid-Winter Break Field trips are approaching fast! For those of you who picked up the orange, pink, and yellow Field Trip application forms for the Museum of History and Industry and the Evergreen State College Field Trip application on Thursday and Friday, please return them ASAP to Ms. Veliz in the attendance office. For the rest of you, if a day trip to a Museum in Seattle or a college visit in Olympia sounds like fun, come to the office for an application! Space is limited, Spartans, so please act fast!ATTENDANCESpartans, attendance matters and so do you! The New Year is a great way to re-set and work on having perfect attendance and arriving to class on time. Did you know that you should only miss less than 5% of school? That's only 1 day a month! Did you also know that attendance is large indicator for future academic success, such as passing classes, or even earning a high school diploma? We want you here every day, Spartans. Attendance matters and so do you!Students, if you arrive at school after the first period bell, you need to check in at the office. We have many students showing up later in the day during second or third period and not checking in at the office. Please go to the office and get a white slip that you will turn into your teacher. Thanks!Students, reminder that there are no hats or hoods allowed at school. As you walk in the doors, please take your hoods off. Also, headphones including air-pods are to be non-visible from the start of the bell until the dismissal bell at the end of the day.?LOST AND FOUNDLost and found bin located at the cafeteria/gym hallway is overflowing. Please take a few minutes to check if you can find your missing coat. ................
