Khan academy

Short AV talks with multiple uses. Detailed expositions make effective CPD for

teachers who may be delivering material they are less familiar with. The use of

text and pictures with voice-over is ideal for students to work on at home or in

class to deepen understanding. While Khan Academy lectures often go much

further than needed on the IGCSE course, there are many basic talks aimed

directly at students at this level, often from a slightly different angle (for example,

finding the take-off velocity of an A-380 Airbus).

S-cool

Targeted directly at learners wanting more Physics to review and revise in their

own time. S-cool is a free revision website offering online notes supplemented

with animations for revision; question banks; and a large student community

asking and answering each other*s questions. The site is set up for GCSE

students, but there is a large amount of cross-over, making it appropriate for

most of the IGCSE course. Covers Energy Calculations and Transfers; Forces,

Moments and Pressure; Properties and Uses of Waves; Magnetism and

Electromagnetism; Radioactivity.
