We had a 16% increase in membership.Strategic Planning Meeting on Monday the 9th at 9 am. Rena has a room reserved if people want to come to King County to attend. Everyone unable to attend can attend via the skype meeting. Forum went well. We had good representation from the State of Washington. Several members held presentations at Forum and did a great job. There were 680 first timers and approximately 1600 in total attendance. Fall Event – Scheduled for October 4th in Bellevue. This is a new location for an event, but it will be exciting. Karen Fitzthum and Mike Purdy have offered to present. Mike is going to present his session from Forum. Karen will be presenting the session she did at the regional conference. Vice President’s Report – Jeff PetersonFall Event – Agenda should be released soon. Bellevue is trying to get the event space for free, but at the most it will cost $150. The Education committee is discussing when the class will be offered. Likely dates are February or March 2020. The Snohomish County PUD has offered to host the class. Public Relations, Marketing, and Elections Committee – Jessica SmithNot presentSpecial Committee Reports:Reverse Trade Show Committee – Regional Conference – Sue OwnbyNothing new to report – Hope to have a final wrap up for the Board next month.We need to consider whether or not Washington would expect to host a Region 8 conference. Would need a committee of at least 35 people to pull this off. If we want to host we would need to let them know as soon as possible.Chapter of the Year Committee – Josh KlikaNot presentNewsletter Committee – Victor LeamerDraft newsletter was sent to the Board for review this morning. If there are any comments/feedback please let Victor know by Wednesday. There will be a raffle for basket created by agencies.
