IMG Academy's Learning Resource Center (LRC) offers various levels and types of support based upon student need. Enrollment in the LRC prompts the team of LRC teachers to provide student-athletes access to personalized and consistent academic guidance and executive functioning training in areas such as goal setting and management, organization, and self-awareness. One of the many supports on campus, the LRC class period provides the opportunity to instill & foster strategies and skills in student athletes as a foundation for life-long learning.

Scheduled LRC class period with direct instruction in academic skill building, study strategies, test taking strategies and executive functioning skills, character development & life skills

LRC Teacher collaboration with Parents, Teachers, Administration, Coaches, College Counselors & Academic Affairs Manager as needed.

CONSULTATION SUPPORT

Daily/Weekly (as needed) collaborative review of plus portal information with student

Development & implementation of an informal Academic Support Plan (ASP) based on parent, student, and teacher input and review

Development, implementation and tracking of a formal Student Individualized Plan (SIP) written accommodation plan based on an a diagnosed learning difference noted in Educational/Medical Evaluation

Coordinate College Board, ACT, and National Testing request and/or appeal for accommodations
