To learn more about our company's mission and values, please visit who-we-are.Who You AreThe Human Resources Manager is responsible for the the day-to-day management of our HR operations. This role is the strategic administrator of Trans-Phos’ HR programs, policies and procedures. This person should be friendly, trustworthy, honest, proactive, reliable, kind, level-headed, respectful and accountable. ?This person is also extremely detail oriented, responsible, a strong communicator, a good listener and must maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, responsibility, self-control and compassion.Why This Role MattersThe Human Resources?Manager oversees the company’s most important asset: its people. ?This role understands the importance of HR programs that support our employees in a manner consistent with our organization's mission and values. ?This person takes care of our employees and their families through company benefits, oversees workers compensation cases and handles employees conflicts before they get out of hand.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a strong commitment to continuous company culture developmentManage all site level employee relations and employee programsOversee daily activities of the HR staffAssist with all recruiting, onboarding and retention effortsAdminister all company benefits (health, dental, life, 401K, COBRA, etc.)Assist with the education of employees on available programs and benefitsManage companywide impact descriptions and performance management plansAdminister companywide Pit Stop Program (performance reviews program)Develop new employee programs to drive positive culture, retention and engagementAssist with continual HR process and policy development/implementationUpkeep of driver wages database and development of quarterly gross revenue reportingManage workers compensation cases (OSHA 300 and 300A updating as needed)Record and track employee injury data as required by OSHA. ?Report the same information on monthly and quarterly basis to regulatory agencies.Manage annual ACA1095 reportingSupport employee development and employee peer recognition programsFacilitate conflict resolution between employeesOversee the planning and implementation of annual employee events (New Year’s Kick-Off BBQ, Company Anniversary BBQ, Driver Appreciation Week BBQ, Veteran’s Day Luncheon, Turkey Giveaway, etc.)Provide customer assistance when necessary (RFIs, benefit updates, etc.)Special projects as assignedSkills/CompetenciesBroad HR knowledge and experience in employment law, benefits, compensation, employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, policy creation/implementation, recruiting, retention and conflict resolution, etc.Highly organized and focusedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHands on and process focusedA team playerSelf-starterPersuasive and personableFlexible and able to handle constant changeAbility to understand complex issues, identify opportunities, and recommend appropriate solutionsStrong benefits knowledgePrevious recruiting/hiring experienceStrategic thinker with an ability to translate plans into actionStrong customer service mentalityHigh energy, professional, tenacious—thrive on meeting and exceeding objectivesExtremely ethical and capable of honoring commitmentsRequirementsMinimum 3-5 years of business experience with progressive responsibilities3+ years experience in human resourcesExperience with employee benefitsBachelor’s degree requiredBilingual (Spanish/English) a plusTransportation industry experience a plusHRCI certifiedPotential Career PathDirector of Human ResourcesSenior Director of Human ResourcesVice President of Human Resources ................
