A.Yes, overseas students have previously been accepted into the programme and we welcome this. The PhD Programme in Child Health Research will fully fund UK/EU students. Tuition fees for EU students entering in 2020/21 are not expected to be affected by Brexit (see ). Non-UK/EU students receive the normal stipend, and the UK/EU component of their fees is paid, but they must pay the extra overseas fees themselves (the difference for 2020/21 will be ?19,615 per year and there is normally a 4-5% increase on fees each year). Furthermore, all candidates who are selected for the Programme must be interviewed, and we unfortunately have no money to pay for overseas students to come to interview. However, we do sometimes interview by SKYPE if necessary.Q2.I have a lower second degree but I am now doing an MSc. Is this equivalent to an upper second? A.Assuming you passed your MSc with at least a merit, you could be eligible to hold a PhD studentship. Please note, however, that in the previous year’s applications nobody with a 2.2 undergraduate degree was successful due to the strong competition. Q3.Does my age matter?A.No.Q4.I will be away at the time of the interviews (April/May 2020).A.Contact us: please let us know any dates you are likely to be unavailable at the end of April/beginning of May; we may be able to work around this. Please note that there may be a second round of interviews for these PhD positons and further information will be provided during the review process. Q5.I have another PhD offer, which needs a decision before you decide on your studentships. A.Ask them to wait (they usually will); if not, contact us. Q6.Am I applying for a specific project? A.There are two specific projects as detailed in the advert. You can apply specifically for one of the two projects or are able to express an interest in being considered for both projects. Please note that whilst these studentships are hosted at the same institution as the Child Health Research CIO PhD Studentships, you are not applying for the Child Health Research CIO PhD Studentships list of projects - only for the two projects listed in this advert. Some of the supervisors for these two projects may also have projects on offer through the Child Health Research CIO PhD Studentships scheme, but this PhD studentship call only offers these two specific projects.NIHR GOSH BRCPhD STUDENTSHIP APPLICATION FORM - Tissue Engineering Surname:First Name(s):Title:Email Address(s):Nationality:1.
