NOTICE INVITING TENDER

Sealed bids are invited on behalf of the Member Secretary, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) from the interested parties for disposal of dismantled material and unserviceable items of the following description, on “AS IS WHERE IS’ basis lying at AICTE office at 7th Floor, Chanderlok Building, Janpath, New Delhi–110 001. The tender document will be sold up to 10 September 2010 by 2.30 pm. The bids must be deposited in Tender Box kept at Reception of the Council, up to 13 September 2010 by 2.30 PM. The bids will be opened on the same day at 3.00 pm in the presence of interested parties.

Bids have to be submitted on prescribed tender form. The terms and conditions along with the Tender Form may be obtained from AO-III, ‘B’ Wing, 7th Floor, Chanderlok Building, Janpath, New Delhi, on Cash payment of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred only) (non-refundable) for each lot.

Bidders may also download the Tender Form from Council’s website aicte- and cost of the tender form should be paid at the time of submission of bid in the form of Demand Draft of Rs.200/- (non refundable) in favour of “Member Secretary, AICTE” payable at New Delhi (OR) Cash in AICTE’s Cash Counter.

Terms and conditions

The sealed bid for the above is schedule to be opened at AICTE Office, 7th Floor, Chanderlok Building, Janpath, New Delhi – 110 001 on 13th September, 2010 at 3.00 pm. The bidder has to agree to the following terms and conditions :

1. The goods will be disposed off in each LOT only.

2. The sealed cover should clearly indicate the lot number and description above.

3. The EMD should be deposited in the form of Bank Draft in favour of “Member Secretary, AICTE” or deposited in cash with cash section.

4. The EMD of Rs. 6000/- for Lot no. 1, Rs.1500/- for Lot No.2, Rs.1000/- for Lot No.3 and Rs.1000/- Lot No.4 and the price should be deposited in two separately sealed envelopes, one containing base towards Earnest Money Deposit and other containing price bid. The envelope be clearly marked as EMD and price bid. The price bid will be inclusive of Sale Tax, Income Tax, CST or any other levy prevailing or to be imposed by the State/Central Govt. (or) any local authority.

5. Envelope containing EMD will be opened first. Agencies who do not submit EMD in appropriate form, their price bids will not be opened.

6. Sealed bids shall be deposited on or before 13.9.2010 by 2.30 pm addressed to Director (Admn), AICTE, 7TH Floor Chanderlok Building, Janpath, New Delhi – 110 001. No tender will be accepted after the due date and time.

7. The highest bidder shall have to deposit 25% of the bid amount immediately acceptance of bid and balance amount within three days after accepting the failing which the Earnest Money shall be forfeited.

8. The entire lot has to be lifted within five working days from the date of approval letter failing which penalty @ 1% of the bid amount per day shall be imposed on account of delay in clearance of site.

9. AICTE reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or all the bids without assigning any reason to the bidder(s).

10.Highest bid will be accepted subject to the approval of Competent Authority.

11.The interested bidder may inspect the LOT at AICTE office, 7th Floor, Chanderlok Building, Janpath, New Delhi – 110 001 on any working day till 10th September, 2010 between 11.00 am to 5.00 PM. However, no claim whatsoever shall be entertained after opening of the bids.

12. Stores Division shall issue Gate Passed for taking out the material.

13. Conditional bids will be summarily rejected.
