Welcome to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center! To our guests from near and far, welcome! Experience Pueblo culture, art, food, dance, history, and more here at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center during the 50th Anniversary of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta?. Enjoy the IPCC daily from 9AM to 4PM, where we'll have cultural dance groups and dozens of Native artisans lining our beautiful outdoor courtyard. Meet and shop with Native artists during our Albuquerque American Indian Arts Festival Oct. 1?2. Our acclaimed restaurant Indian Pueblo Kitchen will be open from 9AM?4PM daily, as well as your trusted connection to Native art, the Indian Pueblo Store. On the evenings of Oct. 3 ? 5, visit Avanyu Plaza, located in 12th Street's thriving business and cultural district, we're hosting Evenings at Avanyu, which includes a balloon glow by IPCC's hot air balloon,

"Eyahne On The Horizon" each night (weather permitting), Native cultural dances, Native artisans and farmer vendors, and S'mores-flavored cookies. You can also visit our newest neighborhood eatery, 12th Street Tavern.

Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2, 9AM-4PM IPCC Albuquerque American Indian Arts Festival IPCC Courtyard The IPCC Albuquerque Indian Arts Festival is an authentic, all-Native American art show. This premier event showcases the work of 45 artists and gives you the opportunity to meet, talk with, and shop directly from Native artists. The two-day festival also includes cultural Native dances and artist demonstrations.

Free for members, or with museum admission.

Monday, October 3 through Wednesday, October 5, 4PM-8PM Evenings at Avanyu, presented by Comcast Avanyu Plaza Evenings at Avanyu will include a balloon glow by IPCC's hot air balloon, Eyahne On The Horizon each night (weather permitting) at Avanyu Plaza, across the street from the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center! There will also be cultural dances, Native artisans and farmers vendors, S'mores-flavored cookies and appearances by Big 98.5 radio personalities. Free and open to the public. Monday, October 10, 9AM-4PM Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration Indian Pueblo Cultural Center Join the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center as we commemorate and celebrate the resilience of the Indigenous People of the Western Hemisphere. On this day, our state celebrates the invaluable contributions and resilience of Indigenous People from the past, present, and future. This event is open to all and will include dignitaries, Native cultural dances, a historical presentation, and artists' booths/demonstrations.

Free for members or Native Americans, or with museum admission. Traditional regalia is

encouraged for tribal members.

Sando, well-known Pueblo academic, historian, author, and inspiration for the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, took on the task of putting into writing the history of the Jemez people.

Through October 15, 2022 Call for Entries: 2022 Native American Student Art Show Artist Circle Gallery The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center seeks K-12 Native youth to participate in its 43rd Annual Native American Student Art Show, entitled

"Who is Your Superhero?" The theme aims to let students show who the superheroes in their lives are--be it parents, grandparents, friends, pets, or nature. Submissions can come from multiple mediums, such as paintings, sculpture, drawing, and mixed media. Deadline to submit art is Oct. 15, 2022. Winning artists will receive a prize; additionally, participants can make their works available for sale, receiving 100% of the proceeds. The curated and juried show will be on display Oct. 29, 2022 through Jan. 3, 2023 in the IPCC Artist Circle Gallery. There will also be an opening reception Sunday, Oct. 29, from 1-3PM. The event was established in 1979 to encourage creativity among Native youth, and to help them recognize that the future preservation and evolution of Native culture lies within them.
