This program looks forward to helping those players that are really interested in player improvement and teach the game of basketball in a way that will benefit them in the long run. We must be doing something right if our 4 teams went 126-51 this year with 7 tournament titles and much improved skill sets for our players
We decided after last year headaches with the older teams, to drop the number of teams we were going to field as a better direction for us was to shift our focus to some younger teams that actually wanted to work hard and improve their skills & learn rather than just show up and play as well as getting caught up in the hype of unwarranted rankings, false promises of guaranteed success, and mislead dreams of the “Big Time” as most used car salesmen preach!
Our coaches want to help those kids that want to be here and work hard to improve their skills more than anything else. So if you want to learn and improve your skills get on board and those that want to believe the view is always better from a far, best of luck to you. We will be around long after the others are gone and always willing to help improve your skills and better prepare your game for the next level, whatever that may be.

Finishing up the year with a 39-17 record seems like a strong year but yet the team could have achieved so much more had they been able to fight thru the adversity of the tough games instead of shying away from those situations late in the game. Coach LaGrone had his hands full with a few players that were trying to adjust to their given roles. Not everyone can be the go to guy as they are in school ball. Despite that the little setbacks, most of the players did improve their skill sets and should have a much better idea what is going to take to play some high school ball next year! While some will be successful during their high school years, some might struggle to play all for years at some of the schools. We wish them much luck and success as we will be watching and willing to help them improve if they are willing to commit to working hard for that improvement.

Another strong year from this group as players continues to expand their game and knowledge of how to compete and win. 42-11 record, a pair of titles and 6 final appearances out of 8 tournaments is testament to that. They were able to handle tight games and keep their cool come crunch time and trust each other to hit the open shot after making the extra pass.
This is a fun group to watch and can’t wait to take many of them up another level next year with the plans we have in store for them! While not everyone will come back and new faces are added in this team will be solid contributor for years to come!!!

A first year team with this type of success is rare. It’s even more impressive they finished the year 31-6 with 4 titles and the top ranking within the program!
At this age/grade being able to rotate on defensive, rebound and limit turnovers is so important and coaches did a really nice job of working with this team on that! While not as big as many of the teams they played they made up for it with heart and effort, being able to knockdown some shots never hurts either!
We look forward to having the core the team back and adding a few new faces to continue the high level of play this team achieved last year and beyond. All interested players that can commit to playing on a top notch team are encouraged to return a player profile and attend the tryouts

This was the first time we have attempted a team this young. We shortened the schedule and forewarned the parents that this will be much more difficult than they expect and it’s not that important to win as much as it is the give them a chance to learn what basketball can really be like. Coach Jones faced a number of challenges with some parents trying coach from the sidelines, kids wanting to look into the stands too often instead of continuing to play and several picking other activities over practices. It’s hard to get better if you’re not at practices and the team undoubtable suffered because of it. They finished 14-17 and shorthanded as a few players decided this was not for them. For the ones that stuck it out we will surely see an improvement as next year rolls around.
