Who we are and what we do

This inventory was developed based on the stated needs and recommendations found from the Asian International Graduate Students and Spouses Research with 40 research participants and 5 Asian international graduate researchers in the department of Child Development and Family Studies at Purdue University. The purpose of this inventory is to provide quality information for daily living and help new coming Asian international students and their families better adjust in the U.S. We greatly appreciate the help from research participants.

This list may be useful especially for Asian international students, but for other groups as well.

The research project was supervised by Dr. Judith Myers-Walls and was funded by Bilsland Strategic Initiative Fellowship provided by Purdue Graduate School.

The research team is currently planning and designing a parenting program for Asian international students and their families for AY 2007-2008. Please check with the AIS Research Team for more details.

This listing was organized by Kyong-Ah Kwon (kkwon@purdue.edu), Larissa Frias (lfrias@purdue.edu), Meryl Ko (kom@purdue.edu), Anu Dhawan (anudhawan2180@), & Ting Lu (jtinglu@purdue.edu). Please let us know if you want further information or find some errors on this inventory.

Thank you and good luck in your stay here at Purdue!!
