Recommendations for a Type 3 Initial Order:

Narrative: This checklist is used locally by Type 3 IMT organizations, following the concept used by Type II & Type I IMT’s, of the initial order.

This checklist primarily consists of supplies and equipment ordered to get a Type 3 organization functional each call out and will be modified and expanded based on the incident.

These items, usually ordered for each Type 3 Incident, can be placed on resource orders prior to an incident. Then, as the Type 3 organization is implemented these items will be ordered automatically and the person/position working in Logistics will be able to plan accordingly for placement and space allocation at the Incident Command Post (ICP) or the Base Facility.

These items, especially, the nonperishable items, can be placed on pallets at the local Cache prior to an incident and easily loaded onto delivery trucks to be sent to the incident immediately upon a Type 3 organization being mobilized. This is the same concept as using a Cache Van.

This is only a checklist, please modify it to fit your locale and your needs.

The recommendations/checklist follows, on pages 2 – 4.
