Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Reports To: Sales and Marketing Manager

Description: Follow up on all outstanding quotes sent to customers. Track them to closing stages and add time stamped notes to the opportunities. The successful candidate will be comfortable speaking on the phone with several people each day to discuss environmental opportunities and other work related to Elk/Empire Group services. We are looking for an upbeat, motivated professional who gets inspired by the idea of informing potential customers of Elks’ services and being able to schedule appointments with Sales professionals. You will generate a minimum of 10-15 appointments per week and make follow-up calls when appropriate to accomplish those goals by contacting 50-60 targets, prospects, and clients per week via email and/or phone. We are seeking experienced sales representatives with proven success of scheduling face-to-face appointments.

Responsibilities:

• Send emails for all house quotes sent to customers and work through the backlog to approx. 30 days old. Attach all correspondence to the opportunity in Cosential.

• Update opportunity to appropriate status (Closed Won, Closed Lost, etc.) and add time stamped notes.

• Work with Sales Manager on printing stage 09 quotes for review and follow up by Account Managers.

• Field any emails back with new opportunities and enter them as a new opportunity.

• Update any contacts in CRM if you get customer bounce-backs.

• Update company records if you see any changes.

• Assign House contacts if they require any other new services.

• Track all quotes that are won and any new opportunities from efforts of reaching out to house clients.

• Goal is to send 20 emails a day to open opportunities and dedicate 1-2 days per week to this effort until current quotes are below 30 days.

• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management.

• Place phone calls to potential clients from our computerized directory

• Perform script (with necessary adjustments) to ensure consistency of sales program.

• Generate between 10 to 15 sales appointments per week.

• Generate between 50-60 emails and phone calls per day to meet weekly appointment goals.

• Set appointments with prospective customers based on our Sales’ schedules.

• Maintain computer, telephone, and other equipment.

• Communicate any problems, concerns, or questions to supervisory staff.

• Refer customer complaints to supervisor for quality control.

• Always communicate respectfully and politely with potential customers.

Requirements/Knowledge & Skills:

• High school diploma/GED required.

• Minimum 5 years of Customer Service Experience, operations background a plus

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales (lead generation preferred)

• Experience in waste management or related industry preferred.

• Eager, aggressive self-starter that can function in a fast-paced team environment.

• Proficient communication and organizational skills

• Ability to manage time and work without constant supervision.

• Microsoft Office computer knowledge and skills

• Professional attitude and presentation

• Ability to work in a team fast paced office environment.

• Light lifting no more than 30 lbs.

• Ability to sit at computer for long periods of time including phone calls.

• Excellent phone manner and articulation

• Ability to type minimum 40 WPM (words per minute)

• Results-driven on meeting company goals

• Ability to cope with rejection daily.

• Valid driver’s license
