The dictionary is sent as a download, saved on your hard disk and then launched in the usual way. Once the programme is installed, it can be accessed from an icon on the desktop or pop-up start menu (see below).

As you’ll see on the next illustration, there are two panels that appear – the analyser and the dictionary itself. The panels are together and partially overlapping at the start but you can separate them and position them anywhere you like on the screen.
In the example, I’ve double-clicked on `omnis’ in the opening sentence of Caesar’s De Belllo Gallico (the on-line Bibliotheca Augustana version). The analyzer (lower panel as I’ve arranged it this time) then shows immediately all the possible parsings of the form and the dictionary panel shows the headword (in this case, of course, the same form). You can also scroll up and down in the dictionary panel to look at surrounding words and, if you’re compiling a personal vocabulary, there’s a copy function on the tool-bar in the panel that lets you paste the first dictionary entry in the panel into another document. You can also toggle between Latin-English and English-Latin modes.
With some browsers, double-clicking to select a word will not work but you can just copy and paste the word into the parser panel in the same way.
With individual purchase (£14.95) you were originally only allowed to install the software on one computer but I’ve recently been told you may legally install it on up to three machines as long as only one person is using it.
