Job Title: IT Manager

Reports To: Corportate Controller

FLSA: Exempt

Prepared: September 2020

SUMMARY: Ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department is in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, directing and designing IT-related activities in a 100+ node, multi-site Windows Server environment, as well as providing administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT Department. The IT Manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization, as well as define and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices.

|Support and Direct all IT functions to meet the needs of internal customers at multiple locations as well as collaborate with IT consultant for high level IT |

|needs. |

|Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. |

|Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review. |

|Administer and provide strong front-line software support & technical knowledge for Windows OS versions, Microsoft Office Suite, Anti-virus, Remote Access Tools,|

|web browsers, Engineering CAD/CAM (Solid works and Autodesk), ERP (SYSPRO) & telecommunications systems. |

|Support all company computer systems including Laptops, desktops & graphic arts systems (Macintosh). |

|Configure and install workstations with Windows 10 in an Active Directory environment, including hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, |

|printers and software. |

|Connect users to networks and provide initial training in facilities and applications. |

|Experience with Windows Server 2008-2019. |

|Administer and monitor regular server backups (Veeam). |

|Perform backups and restorations of user workstations. |

|Setup and configuration of network devices (printers, scanners, etc.) |

|Expert level administration (create/modify/delete/unlock user accounts)  |

|Hardware troubleshooting experience with desktops and laptops of multiple manufactures, CNC milling and Router equipment interfaces. |

|Diagnosing end user system failures and implementing repair solutions. |

|Point of contact for remote users. |

|Specify, maintain & diagnose issues on all (IT) hardware, including; servers, switches, routers, computer, cell phones, landline systems, printer, copier, and |

|other peripheral devices, and implement repair solutions |

|Configure and Administer WLAN environment (Aruba Networks) |

|Site & systems security management. |

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems, or business administration, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Information Technology.

• Basic conceptual understanding of SQL Server database design and integration with front end applications.

• Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel.

• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

• Good project management skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.

• Highly self-motivated and self-directed.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards.

• Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network and PC operating systems.

• Strong technical knowledge of PHP, SQL, Syspro, Windows Server, Exchange.

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.

• Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

• Experience with virtual machine environments (Hyper-V).

• Experience with managing switches and VLAN’s (Extreme Networks).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to low to moderate noise levels
